PZYK 2021 — 15 May 2021

Due to the current uncertainty around the Covid-19 situation in the UK, we have no choice but to re-schedule PZYK to 15 May 2021.
We’re massively disappointed to have to make this switch, and have been considering various different alternatives over the past 10 days. Having looked at all new date options from autumn onwards, and in consultation with our venues, the most suitable (and safest) option is to postpone the festival until 2021. This means we can also utilise the same spaces and make PZYK the best experience possible for everyone.
We are working closely with all artists and their schedules to ensure as many of them as possible can join us for the re-scheduled date. We will make a further announcement regarding the line-up and any new additions in the coming months.
All original tickets remain valid for the re-arranged date. If you would like a refund, please contact Eventim here.

Stay safe, stay #PZYK – and see you in 2021.

Psych scenes, communities and festivals are flourishing across the globe right now, in a global movement in consciousness that we are proud to be a part of. With that in mind, we are pleased to confirm the return of MUSINGS IN DRONE, our very own tripped-out chat show, which seeks to dig out the stories, tales and experiences of the artists, labels and heads within today’s neo-psych scene.
This relaxed, free-form, enlightening and bewildering symposium is hosted by Liverpool audio oracle BERNIE CONNOR, presenter of the impeccable Sound Of Music podcast. We have played hosts to heads such as Steve Davis, Anton Newcombe, Huw Bunford (Super Furry Animals), Pete Fowler, Will Carruthers, John Doran, Rob Chapman and a world of artists, academics and free-thinkers over the past five years. 2017’s programme continues to burrow at the most marvellous outer reaches, with us inviting some of our favourites magazines and music scribes to host conversations with:

+ 16:00-16:45 – AUDiNT research cell host A CENTURY OF ZOMBIE SOUND, a presentation on the ways in which sonic frequencies are used to modulate psychological, physiological and architectural states.
+ 17:00-17:45 – THE BLACK ANGELS will give an insight into their career as pioneers of the contemporary psych scene.
+ 18:00-18:45 – W.I.T.C.H’s Emmanuel “Jagari” Chanda and collaborator Jacco Gardner, along with Italian Director Gio Arlotta, will shed the light on the band’s incredible history and their amazing upcoming biopic.

The sessions are hosted on the Saturday afternoon of the festival within our PZYK Cinema space; all oil lamps, bean bags and low milky light. It’s not a conference, it’s not spoken word, it’s a collection of conversations between inspiring and inquisitive minds; a relaxed, informal trip.
