PZYK 2021 — 15 May 2021

It is with great sadness we are today announcing the cancellation of PZYK 2021.

Despite the positive vaccination news, we still have no certainty as to whether it will be feasible to host the festival in May 2021. With months of continued planning ahead to realise PZYK 2021, we do not have the luxury of waiting until the spring before making a decision as to whether we can welcome our congregation to Liverpool in May.
We appreciate that people travel from around the world to visit the festival and out of respect we want to provide clarity as soon as possible.
We were incredibly excited about presenting the festival at a new venue and we have made the decision to cancel with a heavy heart.
We look forward to a point in the future when COVID-19 is but a distant nightmare and we can come together once more.
Refunds will be processed automatically by our ticketing partner Eventim on Monday 30th November.
All original tickets remain valid for the re-arranged date. If you have any further ticketing enquiries, please contact Eventim here.

Yours in drone, always.

We are thrilled to announce the release of PZYK Vol. 1 – a whacked-out audio atlas of the PZYK diaspora.

Featuring a mix of exclusive tracks, re-mixes, rarities and album cuts, the limited edition compilation spans and charts the current neo-psychedelic underground, with artists from around the world contributing to an international selection comprising 30 of the current movement’s key noisemakers.

PZYK VOL.1 compilation cover

PZYK Vol. 1 is available in four formats: as a deluxe triple, blue, gatefold vinyl with poster pull-out; as a standard triple, black, gatefold vinyl; as a double CD; and via digital download from iTunes. All physical versions of the release are available to order online now through Piccadilly Records – but there are only a limited number of the blue vinyl editions left in store at Piccadilly. Copies of the standard triple black vinyl release are also available in store at Probe Records (Liverpool), Jumbo Records (Leeds) and Rough Trade East (London).

All the artists featured on the release have performed at Liverpool Psych Fest over our four year history, including: Goat, K-X-P, Clinic, Föllakzoid, Jane Weaver, Blanck Mass, Fever The Ghost, POW!, The Lucid Dream and many, many more.

+++ PZYK VOL. 1 was named as Piccadilly Records’ #1 Compilation Of The Year in their comprehensive and prestigious end of year review. +++

The deluxe triple, blue, gatefold vinyl with poster pull-out was available exclusively at Liverpool International Festival Of Psychedelia 2015 and the remaining copies are now only available from Piccadilly Records. The gatefold sleeve also features liner notes from The Quietus’s Julian Marszalek.

PZYK Vol. 1 is presented in partnership with Republic Of Music, and is released on our own PZYK label (PZYK0005).
